Becker, Carl (Lotus) (1873–1945)

US historian. Becker specialized in 18th-century American and European thought. His conservative-sceptical view of modern history is revealed in The Heavenly City of the Eighteenth Century Philosophers (1932). How New Will the Better World Be (1943) expressed his views of international relations in the world after World War II.
