Belli, Giulio

    0.12 sec.

Belli, Giulio (c. 1560–c. 1621)

Italian monk and composer. He held various church appointments at Imola, Venice, Montagnana, Osimo, Forli, and Padua, and returned to Imola in 1611. He wrote madrigals and other secular vocal works at first, but probably only church music later, including numerous Masses, motets, and psalms (which were influenced by Palestrina).
