Unit of sound measurement equal to ten decibels. It is named after Scottish-born US scientist and inventor Alexander Graham Bell.

Bel

God of Babylonian and Assyrian mythology. He was known to the Hebrews as Baal, the name signifying ‘lord’ in both languages.
