Benda, Julien (1867–1956)
| French writer and philosopher. He was an outspoken opponent of the philosophy of Henri Bergson, and in 1927 published a manifesto on the necessity of devotion to the absolute truth, which he felt his contemporaries had betrayed, La Trahison des clercs/The Treason of the Intellectuals. |
