Gozzoli, Benozzo (c. 1421–1497)
Florentine painter. He is known for his fresco The Procession of the Magi (1459–61) in the Chapel of the Palazzo Medici-Riccardi, Florence, where the walls are crowded with figures, many of them portraits of the Medici family.
| He trained as a goldsmith and worked with Lorenzo Ghiberti and Fra Angelico, but his style reflects the paintings of Gentile da Fabriano. |
