Bensenville

Town in northeastern Illinois, 29 km/18 mi northwest of Chicago; population (1990) 17,800. It contains a mix of residential and manufacturing areas. There are railway workshops, factories producing clothing and fluid control machinery, and distribution facilities. O'Hare International Airport lies to the north.

It was settled by German immigrants in the 19th century.
