Bere Ferrers

Town in south Devon on the River Tavy, England, 10 km/6 mi south of Tavistock; population (2001) 3,100. It is situated on the scenic Tamar Valley Railway and is a popular tourist area. In the 15th century the town had silver and lead mines. The early 14th-century church has some notable stained glass.
