Beriosova, Svetlana (1932–1998)

British ballerina. Born in Lithuania and brought up partly in the USA, she started dancing with the Royal Ballet in 1952. Her style had a lyrical dignity and she excelled in The Lady and the Fool, Ondine, and Giselle.
