Berlin

City in northern New Hampshire, on the northern edge of the White Mountains; population (2000) 10,300. It is located near falls of the Androscoggin River, which power pulp and paper mills, the main industry. It has one of the highest steel-tower ski jumps in the USA (55 m/181.5 ft).
