Biddle, Francis (Beverley) (1886–1968)

US lawyer and attorney general. In 1934 Biddle was the first chairman of the National Labor Relations Board and a strong defender of the Tennessee Valley Authority and other New Deal programs. Solicitor general and attorney general of the USA, he was chief US representative at the Nuremberg war crimes trials.
