| English-born US organist. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London, and moved to the USA in 1930. From 1942 to 1958 he gave weekly broadcasts of Baroque repertory, and he also commissioned works from Howard Hanson, Roy Harris, and Walter Piston. |
