Or host a movie night, a favorite activity for the staff at Black Mountain School in Golden Valley, Arizona. In many ways, the inheritors of these Left traditions of the relation among popular culture, high culture, and an oppositional avant-garde were the largely literary movements associated with the Beats, the New York School, the Black Mountain School, and the California Renaissance. |
