Blackshirts

Term widely used to describe fascist paramilitary organizations. Originating with Mussolini's fascist Squadristi in the 1920s, it was also applied to the Nazi SS (Schutzstaffel) and to the followers of Oswald Mosley's British Union of Fascists.
