Blackwall

Riverside district in East London, England. It includes the East India Docks, Brunswick Wharf power station, and Blackwall Yard, where ships were built from the early 17th century. The River Lea joins the Thames here. The Blackwall Tunnel, constructed between 1891 and 1897, connects with north Greenwich. A second tunnel, for southbound traffic, was opened in 1967.
