Blainville

City in southern Québec, Canada, 32 km/20 mi northwest of Montréal, in the lower Laurentians; population (1991) 22,700. Incorporated in 1968, it is a fast-growing residential suburb to the east of the Mirabel airport. It is noted as a centre for equestrian sports.

Its principals are Gerard Beaudoin, Gregory Quail and Andrew Evans of London, UK, & Blainville, Quebec.
He, along with pathologist Henri de Blainville, had two intentions in their written autopsy published in 1817: to make a comparison of a female of the lowest human species to the highest ape, the orangutan, and to describe the anomalies of the Hottentot's genitalia.
