Blair

City and administrative headquarters of Washington County in east-central Nebraska, 22 mi/35 km northwest of Omaha; population (2000) 7,500. It is a processing centre for a grain-growing and livestock-raising region. It is the headquarters of Nebraska's first cooperative soil-building organization.

Blair was founded in 1869. Dana College was established here in 1884.
