Blanc, (Jean Joseph Charles) Louis (1811–1882)French socialist and journalist. In 1839 he founded the Revue du progrès, in which he published his Organisation du travail, advocating the establishment of cooperative workshops and other socialist schemes. He was a member of the provisional government of 1848 (see revolutions of 1848) and from its fall lived in the UK until 1871. How to thank TFD for its existence?
