Blanc, Raymond (1949– )

French chef and gourmet, chiefly known for his restaurant and hotel Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons in Great Milton, Oxfordshire, UK, which was awarded two Michelin Stars.

Blanc moved to England in 1972 and opened his first restaurant, Les Quat' Saisons, in Oxford five years later. He opened his famous restaurant and hotel in 1984. In 1991 he established a cooking school, and has since published many best-selling cookbooks. He opened a chain of ‘Le Petit Blanc’ brasseries 1996–2000.
