Blass, Bill (1922-2002)

US fashion designer. Blass began his New York fashion career in 1946, joining Maurice Rentner Ltd in 1959. In 1970 the company became Bill Blass Ltd. Blass has won eight Coty Awards for his high-priced, beautifully cut and tailored women's wear, notable for its inventive combinations of patterns and textures.
