Blaue Vier

Group of four expressionist painters who exhibited in Germany 1922 and the USA 1924. The artists were Vasily Kandinsky, Paul Klee, Alexei von Jawlensky, and Lyonel Feininger, all of whom had been associated with the Blaue Reiter group, hence the new name. The group was organized by their patron, Galka Scheyer.
