Blech, Harry (1910–1999)

English conductor and violinist. He played with the BBC Symphony Orchestra before World War II and was a founder member of the Blech quartet 1933–50. He founded the London Mozart Players in 1949 and was their music director until 1984.

He studied in London and Manchester. He made many recordings of Mozart and other composers of 18th-century Vienna.
