Blickling Hall

Large Jacobean house near Aylsham, Norfolk, England. It was built in rose-red brick by Henry Hobart, Lord Chief Justice of England, who pulled down the 14th-century manor house in which Anne Boleyn spent much of her childhood. Blickling Hall, its contents, and 1933 ha/4774 acres, including the village of Blickling, were left to the National Trust by the 11th Marquess of Lothian in 1940.

A family of Norwich architects called Ivory made alterations to the interior of the Hall and also built the Orangery and Temple. The 19th-century formal garden was redesigned in 1930; the park is in the style of Capability Brown and contains a lake.
