Blodek, Vilém (1834-1874)

Czech flautist, teacher, and composer. He produced the national opera, In the Well, at Prague in 1867, but his second opera, Zitek, remained unfinished at his death; it was completed by F X Vana, and performed in Prague on the centenary of Blodek's birth.
