Blomfield, Arthur William (1829–1899)

English architect, born in London; he began practice in 1856. He restored several English cathedrals, including Canterbury, Chichester, Lincoln and Salisbury. Other works include the Royal College of Music, Kensington (1883); the nave and south transept of Southwark Cathedral (1890–97); and Selwyn College, Cambridge.
