Blondin, Charles (1824-1897)

French tightrope walker who walked across a rope suspended above Niagara Falls, on the USA-Canada border. He first crossed the falls in 1859 at a height of 49 m/160 ft, and later repeated the feat blindfold and then pushing a wheelbarrow.
