blood testLaboratory evaluation of a blood sample. The majority of tests fall into one of three categories: haematology (testing the state of the blood itself), microbiology (identifying infection), and blood chemistry (reflecting chemical events elsewhere in the body). Before operations, a common test is haemoglobin estimation to determine how well a patient might tolerate blood loss during surgery. How to thank TFD for its existence?
