Bloor, Ella (Reeve) (‘Mother Bloor’) (1862-1951)

US radical, labour organizer, and feminist. Bloor joined the Socialist Party in 1902. She engaged in investigative reporting for Upton Sinclair under the pseudonym of Mrs. Richard Bloor. She was a founder member of the American Communist Party and a member of its Central Committee until 1948. She lectured throughout America and was the author of several books.
