Blough, Roger M(iles) (1904–1985)

US lawyer and corporate executive. Blough joined US Steel in 1943, later becoming chairman and chief executive officer. US Steel is the world's largest steel manufacturer and the USA's third-largest corporation. Blough's 1962 proposal to increase steel prices after a wage-increase settlement led to a famous confrontation with President John Kennedy.
