Blue Mountains

Mountain range in northeast Oregon and southeast Washington, USA. The average elevation of the range is 2,000 m/6,500 ft; the highest peak is Rock Creek Butte (2,775 m/9,105 ft). The mountains are the source of tributaries to the Columbia River. Densely forested, the mountains are used for stock grazing and some lumbering. They are also popular with outdoors enthusiasts.
