Australian cattle dog

Breed of herding dog known also as a ‘heeler’ from its technique of controlling cattle by nipping their heels. It has a short coat flecked with red or blue, pricked ears, and a long tail, and stands about 51 cm/20 in tall.

Bred from imported collies, Australian cattle dogs are also claimed to have dingo blood.
