Blumenfeld, Harold (1923- )

US composer. He studied composition at Harvard and with Paul Hindemith at Yale, and conducting with Leonard Bernstein. He directed the Opera Theater of St Louis 1962-66 and the Washington University Opera Studio 1960-71, presenting works outside the standard repertory.
