Boëly, Alexandre (Pierre François) (1785-1858)

French pianist, organist, and composer. he was organist at the church of Saint-Germain-l'Auxerrois 1840-51, where he cultivated Bach's organ music.

Works chamber music (five string trios, four string quartets); organ works; violin and piano sonatas; numerous piano works include sonatas, caprices, studies, preludes, and fugues.
