Boccacino, Boccaccio (1467–c. 1524)

Italian painter. He worked in Genoa, Ferrara, and Venice, where he was influenced by Giovanni Bellini. He settled in Cremona, his main work being frescoes in the cathedral there. His Marriage of St Catherine, with a background of the country round Ferrara, is in the Accademia, Venice.

His son Camillo and grandson (also called Boccaccio Boccaccino) were painters.
