Bocher, Maxime (1867-1918)

US mathematician. A Harvard University professor and member of the US National Academy of Science, Bocher specialized in equations. He served on the editorial staff of Annals of Mathematics between 1896 and 1907, and was subsequently a president of the American Mathematical Society.
