Bodie

Ghost town in east-central California, in the Bodie Hills on the east of the Sierra Nevada, 120 km/75 mi southeast of Carson City, Nevada. In the late 1870s it was a wild gold town, with a population of about 10,000 and a reputation epitomized in the phrase ‘bad man from Bodie’. Today it is a State Historic Park.
