Bois, John

Bois, John (1561–1644)

English translator of the Bible. He was one of the translators for the King James's Bible in 1604, and a member of the board of revision. He translated a portion of the Apocrypha and of the sections from Chronicles to the Canticles.

He also assisted in Henry Savile's edition of St John Chrysostom (printed in 1610–13). He became prebendary of Ely in 1615.
