Boise City

Town and administrative headquarters of Cimarron County in northwestern Oklahoma, 42 km/26 mi east of the New Mexico border and 27 km/17 mi north of the Texas border; population (2000) 1,500. It is situated in a unique geological zone filled with rugged mesas (flat-topped plateaus). In an agricultural and oil producing area, Boise City stores grain and makes dairy products.

The Associated Press reported in November that Boise City attorneys would ask the entire 9th Circuit to re-hear and reverse the panel's decision.
Located on city land, the site is maintained by the Boise City Parks & Recreation Department, but tours and docent training are coordinated by the center.
