Bologna, Jacopo da (Jacobus de Bononia) (lived 1340–60)

Italian composer. He belongs to the earliest generation of 14th-century composers – all his known works are madrigals, and nearly all are for two voices. He also wrote a short treatise, L'arte del biscanto misurato.
