Bond, Victoria (1945- )

US composer and conductor. She studied at the University of California at Los Angeles and Juilliard, making her debut at Alice Tully Hall, New York, in 1973; she has also conducted the New Amsterdam Symphony Orchestra, the Radio Telefís Éireann Orchestra of Dublin, and the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra (1993).

Works

ballets Equinox (1977) and Great Galloping Gottschalk (1986); opera Gulliver (1988); monodrama Molly Manybloom (1991); Sonata for Orchestra (1972); Saxophone Concerto (1993); chamber and vocal music.
