Bone, Muirhead (1876–1953)

Scottish graphic artist. As official war artist from 1916 to 1918, during World War I, he made drawings of the Western Front and battleships (Imperial War Museum and Tate Gallery, London). He also produced many views of London, recording the effects of the Blitz in World War II.

The technical virtuosity of his drawings and etchings have been likened to the work of Piranesi.
