Bonner, John

Bonner, John (1643–1726)

Mariner and mapmaker; possibly born in London. Bonner emigrated to the USA around 1670. He owned a number of ships, some of which were used in the 1960 Puritan attack on Québec. Bonner was the chief pilot on Admiral Walker's 1711 expedition against Canada. He made numerous maps of Boston harbour and the coast of North America.
