Bor-Komorowski, Tadeusz (1895–1956)

Polish general and resistance leader during the German occupation of Poland in World War II. He went underground after the Polish defeat 1939 and organized resistance groups, taking the cover-name ‘Bor’ and eventually becoming commander-in-chief of the Polish Home Army. He was captured by the Germans after the Warsaw Rising 1944 and imprisoned in Colditz.
