Bordone (or Bordon), Paris (1500-1571)

Italian painter. He was a pupil of Titian, active in Venice. He painted particularly portraits, but also religious, mythological, and allegorical scenes. His The Fisherman Presenting the Ring of St Mark to the Doge (c. 1535, Accademia, Venice) has an architectural setting adapted from the Doge's Palace.
