Borg, Kim (1919– )

Finnish bass. He made his concert debut in 1947, and his opera debut at Åarhus in 1951. He sang at Glyndebourne in 1956 as Don Giovanni, and returned in 1959 as Pizarro, and in 1968 as Gremin. He made his New York Metropolitan Opera House debut in 1959, as Almaviva. He has sung Boris at the Bolshoi, and his other roles include Marke, Pimen, Berg's Schigolch, and Nielsen's Saul.
