Borlaug, Norman Ernest (1914– )
US microbiologist and agronomist. He developed high-yielding varieties of wheat and other grain crops to be grown in developing countries, and was the first to use the term ‘Green Revolution’. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace in 1970 for his development of agricultural technology.
