Bornholm

Danish island in the Baltic Sea, 35 km/22 mi southeast of the nearest point of the Swedish coast; area 587 sq km/227 sq mi; population (2006 est) 43,200. The capital is Rönne. It constitutes a county of the same name.

The ski slope is on the island of Bornholm, in the Baltic Sea, known for its sunny climate and lack of snow.
Their first Servas travel experience was on the Danish island of Bornholm in 1977 where they stayed with an opera singer who also ran a minigolf course while also being a sailor.
Second year students Rosanna Martin and Helen Pickles from the University of Wales, Institute, Cardiff, (Uwic) are set to attend the European Ceramic Context 2006 Festival this week on the Danish island of Bornholm.
