Boscawen

Town in south-central New Hampshire, above the junction of the Merrimack River with the Contoocook River, 11 km/7 mi northwest of Concord; population (1990) 3,600. It is primarily residential.

The US politician and orator Daniel Webster established his first law office here in 1805, and Senator William Pitt Fessenden (1806-1869) was born here.
