Bothell

City in west-central Washington, on the Sammamish River, a residential and commercial suburb 19 km/12 mi northeast of Seattle; population (1990) 12,300. It manufactures medical equipment, computer software, and concrete products, and processes the products of nearby farms.

The city was founded in 1884 by logger David Bothell, who laid it out and sold lots to settlers.
