Botley

Town in Hampshire, England; population (2001) 5,200. It is situated on the River Hamble, 10 km/6 mi east of Southampton, and is a centre for growing strawberries. The National Trust owns an area of land by the River Hamble 1.6 km/1 mi from Botley.

Botley was the home of the radical politician and journalist William Cobbett.
