Bountiful

City in northern Utah, a largely residential suburb 13 km/8 mi north of Salt Lake City, and just southeast of Great Salt Lake; population (1990) 36,700. Named after its abundant harvests, it is the state's second-oldest (1847) Mormon settlement. It trades and processes fruit (especially cherries) and poultry, and has nurseries.
